Keith McKenzie is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under Marco Canha from Checkmat. Mckenzie is one of the very first Scottish Nationals to have been awarded the grade of black belt (the 3rd) an honour he achieved after winning the European Championships for the 2nd time in a row in the brown belt middleweight division (2010 and 2011)

Full Name: Keith Michael McKenzie

Nickname: "Careca" which means bald due to his constant shaven head. He is also called "Mata-Cobra" which literally translates to snake killer. This is a name often associated with people that cannot strike (boxe) well and throw awkward "haymakers" (like if one grabbed a snake by the tail and whipped it's head on the floor). The name was a wind-up a joke amongst his training partners when Keith started training in boxing. Keith has since competed successfully in a number of amateur boxing tournaments.
